I just recently replayed LRR and had to check what you were up to! So happy to see you're still making otome games and can't wait to play the full version <3
Thanks for the lovely comment! ๐ (I'm so glad people are still playing LRR after all these years!)
This game looks AMAZING! I hope it's still being made because I will be playing it 24/7
Thank you so much! It's definitely still being made, slowly but surely! ๐
Oh thank you for replying, I'm glad to hear it! I'll be waiting patiently then :)
So excited for this! I played LRR about ten years ago, and still consider it the best otome game I've ever played. Your dialogue is perfect.
Oh man, that's super nice of you to say, thank you so much! ๐
This looks like the coolest game.
Thank you! ๐
This game is super cute! I've been playing the demo on Steam (I found it through LRR because a Tokimeki clone is a game after my own heart) and I just love everything about it! (Also, the LRR art is ADORABLE.)*
I did want to echo that I found the crafting a little confusing - I want to make the giant turnips for my flatmates but I have no idea how, and my stats don't seem to increase very much with each class! And now they'll be giant turnip-less and sad. However, I think the inclusion of the crafting is a really cool idea! It reminds me of the Atelier games except much less overwhelming.
I also think there might be a visual issue on the "exit" when you're in a store - for me, at least, the whole thing is black, and I think it might be meant to have colour on it as well? When I hover over it it lights up all in red. I've (hopefully?) attached a picture so you can see what I mean! It happened in Liang's store for me. And because the 'exit' button is right over a dark part of the background CG I did get a bit confused as to how I'd get out of the place!
I really enjoyed playing the demo and I'm looking forward to the final release! I LOVE the characters and the art and the storyline and the lore and honestly just everything? I love the Britishness and the tone of the writing and the little details (like the stuffed goblin in Saskia's room) and everyone's outfits and hairstyles and just everything asdjahsdja. Thank you for adding to the small collection of stat-raising otome games! You're my hero โฅ
*Also I'm editing this because I realised "Tokimeki clone" might sound like an insult and I didn't mean it that way at all!! I love the Tokimeki games and LRR got recommended as having a similar gameplay loop and it made me so excited! My friend & I use 'clone' all the time for games that match our extremely specific tastes and I hope it doesn't insult you โฅ
Ahhh, I'm so sorry I somehow missed this lovely comment! Thank you so much for the feedback - I've made some changes to the full game as far as some of the recipes and requests go, as as you mentioned, you're not the only one to find crafting a little confusing. Hopefully the early game shouldn't be quite so overwhelming, and I've increased the amount of time between getting the request and the deadline, so that should help a fair bit. But I'm glad you've been enjoying the demo regardless! (And I'll make a note to edit that exit button to be more obvious in the full game, too!)
(Also I love stat-raising romance games with my whole heart and am not at all offended to have LRR called a Tokimeki clone, don't worry! My entire impetus for getting into gamedev and creating LRR was the then-lack of Tokimeki available in English, so I'm super glad there are others out there who love stat-raisers as much as I do! ๐ )
Honestly I played Princess Maker 2 back in the 90s and it's all been downhill since then, lol! Stat raising games are my favourite kind and so many of them just don't scratch the same kind of itch as PM2, so when I find one that does it right (for me!) I lose my mind, lol. Tokimeki games are amazing in that regard and I am fully prepared to cry a little when Girl's Side 4 does not get localised despite my email to KONAMI support (that no one ever read, let's be real) telling them that they should! ๐คฃ But at least in a few months (or whenever) I'll have Edge of Elsewhere to cheer me up :D (I don't mean that in a pressure-y "finish the game way" though! I'm just excited for the release โฅ)
My other love is the Recettear game and honestly none of these new "shopkeep games" do it the same way and it makes me so frustrated, lol. I'll find threads like "I love Recettear, what's another game like it?" and all the replies are full of lies because the suggested games are not like Recettear at all!! At least the stat-raising genre is doing a bit better, lol.
Anyway I'm so glad that you love stat-raisers too and are doing your best to bring us poor, Japanese-less fans of the genre more games! Thank you for all your hard work โฅ
Ahh absolutely no rush but I was wondering if you had a release date planned for this project or estimated time it might take? I've been following it on twitter for quite a while (I think back in February haha) and it's really cool seeing your updates from time to time! :>
No concrete release date as yet, unfortunately! Though I am hoping to have the game out by the end of the year (I'd estimate the full game is maybe 75% complete already?), we shall see! I should probably tweet more than once a month lol but thank you for following the game's progress! ๐
I'm so excited to see another indie stat raiser come out, and by the person who made LRR no less! I loved the demo, the stat raising felt tricky but not impossible, and the character writing was great! I especially loved the relationship between Saskia and her two roommates. I got so into it that I forgot it was a demo ;_;
A couple of things: I noticed a minor typo in the stat raising menu: "Artisan" is spelled incorrectly. I also couldn't figure out how to read the books that I bought (was it automatic?) nor could I figure out how to make the giant turnip. For the last one, maybe a little hint on the requests like, "You don't have this recipe yet" or "You don't have the ingredients/stat level for this" would be helpful, though I'm not sure how tricky that would be to implement.
Looking forwards to the final game!
(Also, though I know they're set in different universes, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing cameos from the LRR cast *kawink*)
Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed the demo! (And I'm so glad you enjoyed Saskia's friends! They were a lot of fun to write and each have their own friendship routes so I'm really hoping people like them!)
Do you happen to remember what the typo with 'artisan' was? It's referred to as Artisanry in-game, which is on purpose, but if there's a typo other than that I can't find it. Saskia will read books you buy automatically at the end of the week, but you can also click on them in your inventory to read them before that (but not while you're at the shop). Currently, hints like the ones you mentioned are available from Oleander if you visit him during the week, which unlocks after you fulfil your first request, but I've had a few other players suggest this could be clearer so I'll definitely try and tweak this for the full game.
(Ahaha, I definitely considered LRR cameos! I'm still undecided as to whether they'll appear in the full game, but watch this space~)
Thanks so much again for the feedback! ๐
Sorry, I misremembered! It was the word "recipe" in the description for the Artisanry class. At least in my version of the demo it's spelled "recpie"
Ooh, good catch! I'll get that fixed, thanks!
I've been replaying LRR over and over in anticipation for this to be released, and now I shall be replaying this demo over and over <3 I got so invested my first go around I forgot this wasn't the full game.
Do we meet Roman in the demo? I've only been introduced to Meuller so far.
Thanks so much for giving the demo a go! Unfortunately, Roman isn't available in the demo as it cuts off just before you'd meet him in the full game, but you can meet all of the other main guys.

I really wish the text could be bigger... It's... really hard to focus T.T
If you press 'a' to bring up the accessibilty menu, you can adjust text size from there. (Depending on how large you make it, it may lead to graphical errors, though!)
Ah this was really really fun! :D Can't wait for the full game to come out, I love the crafting portion of the game and how the pinked item turns into a full image once you craft it! I adore all the characters and Saskia has such a fun and cute personality! One thing I wish there was is a back button when you click what you plan on doing for your schedule! It seems like you can't go back which is unfortunate. I also wish there were little notes about the items added when you learn information from Johnny 0: There was also one typo - enrol instead of enroll but overall this was a really great demo!
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed the demo! For the scheduler portion, you can actually go back by right clicking, but there's admittedly no indication of that so I'll be sure to add one for the full game. Which items were you wanting more information on? The books Jonny gives you? You can find info on each item in the game in the grimoire on the computer, if that helps. Thanks so much again for trying out the game!
Oh that's sounds really helpful to know, thank you! :D If it's alright for me to make some more quality of life comments I think a note about where to buy snacks would be really helpful as I didn't realize they were in Liang's shop until much much later! The grimoire is really helpful thank you for telling me. I was also having trouble finding Vervain and I was wondering if it was avaliable during certain weather like stardust?
Absolutely, quality of life feedback is super helpful so thank you! I'll be adding a tooltip or something about this in the final game, but if you need to know where to find an item that's part of a recipe you can click on it in the crafting menu, which brings up a list of locations to gather it and should tell you where Vervain is (you can either gather it on the meadows with a higher foraging stat or buy it at the marketplace if you've unlocked that). Hope that helps!
Thank you! I was playing the game again and I ended up with another question - Pandora wants us to craft an Enhancer for her by October 30th, but I asked Oleander and it seems like the recipe requires one to be level 2 in potion making. However it seems like the bar for stats moves very very slowly and I was a bit confused on how one would reach level 2 by the deadline?
Another question I had is if there is a way to craft better weapons to use again the monsters Saskia encounters in battle? c:
It is definitely possible to reach level 2 in potions by that time (bearing in mind your potions level rises when you craft a potion as well as when you study) but the deadline is admittedly very tight! In the full game I'll have Pandora make her request earlier to give the player more time to raise their potion skill, I've had other feedback to the same effect so you're definitely not the only one having trouble.
As far as weapons go, you'll learn some by raising your metalworking stat, but the easiest way to get early game weapons is to either fulfil Ingrid's request for cloth (she gives you a weapons magazine as a reward, admittedly I think it would be difficult to craft the cloth she requests before the demo ends) or to fulfil the request that gives you Water Balloons as a reward. You'll be able to use those as a weapon in the demo, but you can also see the recipe for any item once you have it in your inventory, and you eventually unlock the ability to craft items freely even if you haven't learned the recipe in class (I think you might be able to unlock this in the demo if you fulfil a lot of requests, but I'm not actually sure...! It unlocks automatically a little after the demo ends). I'm currently working on adding more weapons to the game, so there should be lots to play around with in the full release.
Phew, sorry for the essay! ๐
Wow this is so nostalgic! Lucky Rabbit was one of the first otome game I played when I was in high school :D looking foward to this game ^_^
Just wanna say I'm really looking forward to this~ I replay Lucky Rabbit Reflex all the time and its great seeing a game by you again.
